Australia Day 1

Well, here we are. Opera house in background, but no kangaroos. It doesn't matter, we are so jet lagged that one could come up and punch me in the face and I wouldn't know the difference.
We had a nice time at the Royal Botanical Gardens. Lots of new birds. All ho-hum for the average Ozonian, but nonetheless new to us including the banded lorikeet which looks like a fireworks display on wings. We seem to be doing OK with the Australian language: we can understand most of what is being said. Stay tuned for bird photos in a future posting.

Hey! How exciting!! You guys look great :)

I'd prefer to see mom with a hat on though - make sure you've got sunscreen on!

I believe it is Aussie...not Ozonian! It took me a second! Looks like you guys are having a blast. Make sure you get some shaved ice southeast asia style for me!

I am wearing a hat but I forgot the sunscreen yesterday and ended up burning my arms. Not too bad though and I'll be more careful today.
